The clients approached us to merge three existing apartments into one single family home. The existing floor plan was spread out over 5 half floors. We wanted to increase the feeling of a more horizontal living, so reconfigured and opened up the living spaces. Wide open steps between the living and kitchen were introduced to give the feeling of the areas being on the same level, and a main staircase and open landing interconnected the Living and Bedroom floors.
