Holland Park Villa

Holland Park Villa

London, W14

A grand house, set in a leafy avenue in Holland Park, London. The aim of this project was to open up the back elevation, maximising light, and connection to the garden, keeping the design clean, simple and modern whilst celebrating the existing traditional details.

The key connecting piece is a cantilevered stone and glass terrace with stone steps, curving around a protected tree. The internal layout was simplified, creating an open plan kitchen to the back with glass sun-room, a kids play-room, cinema, and library downstairs leading onto the garden. Elsewhere in the house, a master suite was created with simple materials and colours, 4 further children’s bedrooms and bathrooms, a guest bedroom, and nanny flat completed this transformation into an impressive family home.
